Hydration And Age Reversing

We know that the human body is mostly made of water. When we are born, we have a water content of 78 percent. But by the time we are a year old, it is down to 65 percent. And that kind of fall has consequences beyond dehydration and whatever hell comes with it.

When we talk about anti-aging, water has a very important role to play. Let’s see what that is.

What Influences Aging?

Aging is the natural process of getting older. This is the result of a lot of biological processes which will slowly deteriorate your physical and cognitive health with the passage of time. This is nothing to be afraid of. But if you had information that could help you control it, wouldn’t you want to know?

We don’t yet have all the answers that could actually lead us to reverse the process of aging. Today, we have gotten as far as anti-aging products and surgery to get there.

But here’s the thing. The process of aging happens at a cellular level. And it’s not just one move. There are many smaller processes that lead to diseases that result from aging. And the way we look changes long before we get to a lot of these other indicators of aging.

When you investigate the biological reasons behind aging, it becomes clear that fighting it has to start at a cellular level. A lot of this work is easy to do and must start with a focus on health and happiness. This also has to start long before the visual markers of aging start to show.

Hydration And Age Reversing

Keeping the body hydrated has a major role to play in terms of pushing the aging process back. The average amount of water in our body keeps reducing over time. This causes a lot of internal and external problems associated with aging.

An average adult has only about 55 to 60 percent of water content in their body. Those who have more fatty tissue have less water content compared to those who have more muscles. So, a person with more muscles can retain more water than a person with more fat. This means that a leaner individual can retain water than an obese person.

By the time an individual reaches retirement age, the water content in their body is at about 50 percent. While aging might still not be a reversible act, losing water content is.

Hydration And Age Reversing: the body is made up of 70% water content

Whenever your body loses 2 to 3 percent of water content, you will feel thirsty. But your body starts losing its ability to perform physical and mental tasks to the best of its abilities. That’s the beginning of the process of dehydration.

Now, two-thirds of this water content is inside the cells and that’s why your efforts to reverse or at least contain aging should start with hydration. We also know this to be true because physical markers of aging like dark spots, wrinkles and lines start forming when the body loses collagen. That is why using products that add water to your skin cells can help remove these markers.

Useful And Simple Tips

Here are some tips that will help you keep it up on a daily basis.

Hydration And Age Reversing: a cup of tea
  • Drink a minimum of 1.5 liters or eight glasses of water every day.
  • Consume a lot of tea.
  • Reduce eating food like processed red meat which has a lot of animal protein. Instead, try white meat, substitutes like tofu or fatty fish like mackerel and herring.
  • Eat a lot of legumes, fruits, veggies, seeds and nuts.
  • Cut down on simple-carb food items like rice, potatoes, pasta and bread.
  • Let go of sugary foods, sodas, commercial juices, candy, cake and chocolates.
  • Remove trans fats which are a big part of fried stuff from your diet.
  • Try to stay away from foods like sunflower oil, mayo and salad dressings that are rich in omega-6 fats.
  • Eat more foods like olive oil, chia seeds, avocados, walnuts and flax seeds with omega-3 fatty acids
  • Cut down on milk because it causes aging by increasing inflammation in the body which in turn increase oxidative stress.
  • Replace processed foods with natural foods.
  • Add foods like vegetable smoothies and blueberries, which have a low glycemic index.
  • Pick leafy veggies like spinach and kale, fruits like pomegranate and blueberries, dark chocolate and fatty fish like salmon that are known to slow down the process of aging.
  • Drink alcohol as little as possible and not at all if you can because it causes dehydration.
  • All kinds of tea are good for anti-aging, along with coffee, which can push back age-related health problems. You can add spices like mint if you’d like.

Hydration And Age Reversing: The Bottom Line

We may not have a quick fix for aging at the moment, but there are lots of options when it comes to slowing it down. You just have to do a little every day to make that happen.
